She got her bread, dipped it in the cup and ate it. She looked at me and I nodded and she ran to take communion from her Daddy. Lucy had been in the nursery so she came up after I had already gone up. We always have communion at church on the first Sunday of every month. Oh, and a cute Lucy story I don't want to forget. I'm trying so hard to freeze some of these memories in my memory because I want this stage of innocence and joy and wonder to last forever. I thought last year was great but her joy and excitement and wonder at everything is contagious.

(Our elf) She is so excited about Christmas and it has been so much fun this year. I'm not sure if it's because she hears the rest of us stirring, but she always wants to look for Zoey. She has also been waking up around 5 or 5:30. Chosen from thousands of exam candidates throughout the year, Lucy went to the IDTA Theatre Awards audition and successfully. He doesn't stick his butt up in the air the way Lucy used to though! And speaking of mornings, the boys have been sleeping from their 8 PM feeding until around 5:30 in the morning for the past 4 nights! I feel like a new person - it's amazing what sleep can do for you!!! ) For the past two mornings, Charlie has rolled himself onto his belly to sleep. The other day, they moved their playmat from the middle of the floor to underneath the tree. but they sure do have their moments! They both have been rolling all over the place and scooting on their backs around the floor. As you saw in the video yesterday, they are beginning to interact with each other and they love when someone sits and talks to them one on one. After all, I really keep this blog up so that I will remember the things my children have done! ) The boys are growing so quickly.

The last lines of the song are, 'Wait for something magical, mistake turned into miracle,' which sums up the root of the song - how disorienting, and essential hopefulness is when surrounded by horror.Lately, I haven't posted a lot of news. As we approach the Fourth of July, I'm enamored by the next line in the chorus when she sings, "you put out your palm more than the back of your hand." Lucy explains that "what I mean is that the best you can do is stay aware of the hurt that America does and offer up generosity, empathy, and resistance in the face of it. I find Lucy Dacus' words thought-provoking. She says they're a way to understand the holidays. Lucy followed it with "My Mother & I" a song for Mother's Day. The first tune, released for Valentine's Day, was "La Vie en rose," made famous by Édith Piaf.

This song is part of a series of holiday-centric tunes Lucy Dacus has recorded. I don't so much believe in the dualistic idea of people either being good or bad anymore, but I still believe the sentiment." 'Ricky Loses His Voice' is a delightful piece in which Ricky's laryngitis inspires Lucy, the Mertzes, and an aging chorus line to put. The chorus of her new song, " Forever Half Mast," begins with the line, "Yes you're evil, but you're not that bad." The inspired songwriter from Richmond dropped me a note to say, "I wrote it years ago as an answer to my own question about whether or not any American can be a good person since we are all passively benefitting from one of the most violent and destructive systems in the world. The usual running themes in I Love Lucy-Lucy's misguided desire to be a part of Ricky's musical career, and her penchant for disguising herself to investigate something-are all over The Complete Second Season.
